I am interested to see how Antti Miettinen and Eric Belanger do. Belanger needs to bounce back and I think we might be a little surprised at what Antti will do.

Our defensemen are the weakest part of our team. Some of them will need to step it up and have career years for us to compete for a spot.

Yeah, we picked up some all around players that should help round out our team. This year is a toss up in my mind. Whther or not everything gels together is 50/50.

    Really?

Between Burns, Zidlicky, Bergeron, Kim Johnsson, Nick Schultz and Martin Skoula, Lemaire said he feels the Wild has its "best defensemen crew" in eight seasons. All six are mobile and can get the puck going on transition by either skating or passing.

Burns is good, but we have no idea how Zidlicky or Bergeron will gel. Schultz is solid. Johnson is nothing special, and Skoula is getting better but still not playing the way he should. Of course Lemaire will say that. He trying to instill confiedence in most likely the weakest part of our team.
