I like the coverage that JS does on the Brewers. It's one of the better ones around the country that uses the blog system to get as much info out there to the people from a local source. I have looked for lineups for other teams if Tom doesn't post both team's lineups and it's rare that I find it. That's what I was referring to.

I really like the job the JS does. I wasn't a huge fan of Witrado, but he wasn't quite as bad as most people made him out to be.

Especially for Spring training, opening day, game blogs, and weekly chats during the season. That's pretty good stuff.

The only issue I have with the blogs is the awful spelling/grammar from time to time. I know they try to post this stuff pretty quickly but you'd think for a professional writer it wouldn't be that hard to keep on top of it and at least read it through a couple times. I generally try to read my posts here before I submit it and make sure it's readable.

It doesn't matter to me when it's in the blog. That's a tool for them get out news and analysis to fans quickly.

    They're beat writers. Not editors.

You're still a professional writer. I'd be pissed off if I was an editor or whoever is proofing their articles and have to correct the same mistakes time and time again. You'd think for everything they write on a weekly basis they'd pick some of that up. Through the years of being on PSD I have really picked up on a lot of things about grammar.

    excellent...

I don't know if it's against site rules, but I was thinking that it might be a good idea to add a list of fan blogs (disciples of uecker, brew crew ball, bernies crew, etc) in that ST thread. There are a lot out there that some guys here probably don't know about. They have a lot of analysis with some of the advanced stats that McCalvy and Haudricourt don't typically use.

I'm not sure on those blogs. I'd have to look at them before I think about it. There's basic lines we're not allowed to cross.

I was just thinking because they may be considered competing sites.

Had to push it to the back of the pile. I got some client work to get done and a wedding from a month ago to produce. Too many things to do and not enough hours in a day. It's only p/c reporting so it's nothing big. It'll be up before the games begin.
