The Cardinals are putting Berkman in left? The Brewers righties have a good target out there now if they can hit off the Cardinals pitching. Pretty good pickup offensive-wise but hopefully it hurts them more on defense.
When I first saw that I was like "wow, that's a lot of money for a PH and a guy who might get 1-5 starts at 1b"
I don't think he'd be any better than a full season of Jon Jay

Ya... so much for him signing a Jason Bay like contract
I hope Melvin isn't done dealing. We still have pitching prospect we can deal away as well if another decent arm is available.
So in my opinion, we are one starter away from not having to see Manny Parra in the rotation...
If Manny is on the Brewers come ST I hope he gets a crack at the 5th spot in rotation along with Narveson and maybe Cappy if he'll come back on minor league deal. I do like Manny in the bullpen if he's not in the rotation though.
I agree that the Brewers are one starter who is at least a league average player away from competing for the Central.
There's been a lot of complaining about the Nats giving Werth significantly more money than any other team was willing to offer. When CC signed with the Yanks, they offered him $60mm more than the Brewers did and they were the only two bidder from what I can remember. I don't remember people complaining that much about the Yankees inflating the market (well I guess they were the only ones to sign FAs that off season )
I don't know if you guys know who Nonpoint is but there one of my favorite rock bands and I suggest you listen to them if you like rock music. The Score music theories Interviewed their drummer on a couple questions about sports. Not from WI at all and is a yankees fan for god sake so no bias but he says how his favorite sporting stadium (I think it was jus for baseball) is Miller Park. I agree with him 100 %. Miller Park is an awesome experience. I mean who can hate on a stadium named Miller Park?
