J.P. Dumont is attempting to prepare himself better for this coming season than he has in the past.
"Last season I was really focusing on trying to watch my water weight and stuff, my energy level," he said. "At training camp, I was burning a lot of the good energy level I had and it's hard to replace that. But now my focus is getting ready to play and starting a long season. I will go really hard, but at the same time, I want to keep my energy level, watch what I'm going to eat and all that kind of stuff. I've been doing things one way for a really, really long time, but I'll try something new this year. I felt really good out there today, really strong." Hopefully, his new conditioning pays off and he can build on the 29-goal, 72-point campaign he turned in last season.
