A revitalized Mike Modano is excited to see what the Stars can do this season.
"There’s some excitement, knowing we’re very close and our team’s better adding the guys that we did," said the veteran center, approaching 38 years of age. "We’re looking forward to that again. I think we feel the components are there, the players are there, that people are coming into their age." He contemplated retirement, but quickly decided that he wanted to be a part of this Dallas team after their success in the playoffs. He may see time on the Stars' second line this campaign if he plays the wing, or else he will end up on the team's third unit in a checking role.
