Canada traded to Ti-Cats?

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers shakeup continues, as Tom Canada’s days with the club are over.

The struggling fifth-year defensive end is contemplating his football future after the Bombers tried to trade him to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats this morning.

“As far as I understand, I’m no longer part of the Winnipeg Football Club,” Canada told the Sun. “Now I’m just trying to figure out whether I just hang up my cleats or go to Hamilton,” said Canada, who was unaware that the Ticats had fired head coach Charlie Taaffe this morning.

It’s unclear what the Bombers would get in return for Canada, but it’s believed Ticats middle linebacker Zeke Moreno is part of the deal.

Canada said he had received several calls from Ticat boosters today. They are trying to convince him to come to Steeltown.

I like this trade for the Bombers, Moreno was great last year for the Ti-cats. The Bombers also signed Kai Ellis too. Maybe somebody will trade for Kevin Glenn next week or they could fire Doug Berry while they are at it.

Yeah, he is considering just retiring instead. He should get over it and just play, he had 4 and a half seasons with the Bombers which is more then most players get to play on one team in the CFL. He should be happy he didn't just get released and loose out on his large contract altogether.

I'd be all for that. Was Glenn's injury not that bad at the end of the Rider game? I was sort of hoping that he was going to be out for a couple weeks.
