Week 2: ACC Game Thread and Predictions

Its official. Maryland has THE worst qb situation in FBS. Chris Turner makes horrible decisions. I would've rather seen Steffy playing tonight, rather than Turner. I really cannot ****ing believe how much of a disgrace it is to spend almost 3 hours watching this. Heyward Bey and Scott are the only acceptable players on the field. I will not watch anymore Maryland games until they decide they decide Turner is half ****ing retarded. I could literally make better decisions than him. I want him out of my state.

Maryland just lost to a team from the Sun Bowl conference, who was 0-1 coming into this game, first game was against another sun bowl team...

I really don't consider this an upset in any way. Maryland is horrible this season. They will literally not win another game, unless they get lucky. Theres always next year.

I can't believe Florida is only winning by 6 at home. Either Miami is better than advertised, or Florida isn't as good as advertised.

People talk about UGA's schedule which is w/o a doubt the toughest in teh nation but Uf is 2nd, they will not last.

I don't think Florida is overrated at all, i just think this is a case of Miami being pumped up for a big game and playing well. The Canes have a ton of young talent and they pushed Florida. The do have an extremely tough schedule but i think they will rebound next week

Yeah, i would have to agree with you on this one. Sometimes in rivalry games things happen that shouldnt. In these kind of games rankings and predictions get thrown out the window and its all about winning. Miami stepped up their game this week and if they continue to do so they will be a pretty good team

Yeah, their schedule doesn't get much easier than Middle Tennessee State. The quarterback thing is a HUGE issue. I think we'd be better off putting noone in at quarterback. Or just screen it to Darrius Heyward Bey the entire time. With how well Scott was doing, i'm having a hard time understanding why they didn't hand him the ball more than 11 times. I think Portis should start next game. He gives us the biggest spark when hes in. All he needs to do is be a better decision maker, whether he passes or runs.

They play Cal next week. That should be extremely ugly, unless they figure something out on defense, and at quarterback. The only other game i have a positive feeling that they can win, is against Eastern Michigan. I'm sure they'll take a game or two from ACC opponents by getting lucky, but the rest of this season is screwed. Hopefully our recruiting class doesn't get affected by this, because if everything went right, they were going to have a top 25 recruiting class.

Yeah, i doubt that they lose every game too but i'm just saying that its a possibility. If i was them i would start Portis and let Scott run the ball about 70 times a game. Its a shame but having a bad season could very well affect your recruiting class.

Yeah, plans were to get the number 4 runningback in the country... Maybe he'll like our running game and decide to come, who knows.

I think we should try an option offense, or some ish like that. Just run Portis and Scott the whole time, and we'll be fine. I think Portis is a better passer than Turner or Steffy anyway.
