Not really, no. (Just talking about the Iraq War as a subtext) Aside from both being supporters of the Iraq War to start, their views are different. The Biden plan calls for Iraq becoming a confederated state, with (at least) three different "states" inside the country controlling interests. Allowing the Sunni, the Shia, and the Kurds to each play an active role in their respective areas in the country. It is along the same lines of the plan that ultimately worked in the Balkans.

McCain will have to "figure out which of the seven kitchen tables to sit at" when considering his own economic future, Biden said.
I don't know about you guys, but I loved that quote by Biden!

Eh, it wasn't that good. Biden's gotta shut up and make sure his quotes don't cost Obama the oval office.

how can u people be sad that it isnt hillary, she is the closet thing to socialist that u could get, she freaking controlling, and has been lobbying to put a ban on video games, i mean how ****ed up is that.

I like the Biden pick, and i like how he is very blunt about everything.

This move puts me more on the side of voting obama but i am still waiting for mcCain to make his move, because i am very undecided right now

Um, the way I understand it, Hillary wants to put a ban on advertisements of violent video games ... not the actual games themselves. That way we don't have first and second graders watching mid-afternoon television and seeing cop killing screen shots of GTA. And, I'm not opposed to that.

Oh, and Hillary isn't the "close(s)t thing to a socialist" you could get. But, thanks for throwing that out there.

I'll be honest, I didn't know that. I was under the impression that she wanted to ban games like GTA as well. Which I would be opposed to.

I have mixed feelings on banning advertisements. If GTA is advertising on the Disney Channel, I have an issue with that. But if they're advertising on either channels that little kids shouldn't be watching or at times when little kids shouldn't be watching tv I'm not opposed to it.

But can the federal government really regulate what cable channels show, including commercials?

If I'm assuming correctly (and I think I am), it would limit it to your basic channels. Not MTV, ESPN, etc ... Just your normal ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX affiliate.

Edit: Oh, and the FCC does have some say in what can be played as a commercial on certain extended media channels. Otherwise, a channel like SpikeTV could be all over showing more flesh than they do.

hilary threatened GTA that if they didnt change their ESRB rating from Mature to Adults Only she would she would introduce legislation to regulate video games

    they changed the games rating

then she introdroduced legislation anyways that would outlaw the sale of any sexual or violent video games to people under 18, which i believe is is a complete waste of time, if they voted on this

And, that's wrong why? If a movie is NC-17, you have to be 17 to go see it. If a movie is rated R, you have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to go see it. Why should a video game be any different?

This isn't stopping the sale of video games of an explicit nature, this is regulating the sale of sexually explicit material with adult themes to minors.

There is nothing wrong with that.

There are "cop killing screen shots of GTA" on in the afternoon?

    I doubt it.

And I doubt that Rockstar advertises on Nickelodean or the Disney Channel, or anything like that.

Plus. It's not like seeing GTA is gonna scar kids for life or anything.

I'll be honest, I didn't know that. I was under the impression that she wanted to ban games like GTA as well. Which I would be opposed to.
They don't use the word "ban"....but the effect is the same.

They won't ban it.....but Sony and Microsoft won't allow anything above an M rating (which is 17+....which is silly). that's what killed manhunt 2. The AO rating.

And, that's wrong why? If a movie is NC-17, you have to be 17 to go see it. If a movie is rated R, you have to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to go see it. Why should a video game be any different?
Movies shouldn't have restrictions on their ratings either. There's no need for it. If you don't want your 12 year old seeing a rated R movie, don't let him go to the movies by himself. Don't give him any money. wtf?

But the reason the video game is different is the "AO" rating. It kills the title. Because Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft won't allow AO rated games on their platforms, and Best Buy and Wal-Mart won't carry it.

That's the aim. The goal is to restrict the sale of the product, which is bull ****. They use the disguise of "informing parents" which is just a lie.
