I am sad it was not Clinton but I like Uncle Joe. I think Obama/Clinton would of been a unbeatable ticket. I can only hope that with McCain moving up in the polls that Joe will be the attack dog we need and give the replulicans a taste of their own mud slinging medicine.

obama is not stupid enough to pick hilary and hilary isnt dumb enough to join him. I guarantee she is pulling for mccain so she can run in 2012. Thanks for seeing the light BB. Republicans have been more effective at this then Dem's for sometime now. I am sick and tired of Dem's trying to play the moral highground by saying they wont mud sling and then only do it to a minimum. This is war for the highest office on earth. What do you call the implication that the Republicans are racist?

What do you call the class warfare that paints Republicans as hating the poor?

To bring it back to the topic of Biden....

I think in the long run, this hurts Obama. He would have been way better off picking Hillary.

I assume the pick was made because of Biden's foreign policy experience.....but doesn't Biden agree a lot with John Mccain on a lot of foreign policy issues?

Well this move is obviously for the people who are scared about his experiance and for that it is a great choice.. I heard on the news earlier before this came out though that there is still a large group of Hillary supporters that are going to McCain or are still undecided and for those voters this isn't good.. Anyways I still think Obama has this wrapped up either way.. I don't think this is a bad pick though he would be my 3rd choice for Obama, in no way do I think this is bad.. On a different note I know this is way out there but if there was a VP for McCain that would probably swing my vote I would love Collin Powel.. I know its a strech and never will happen but I really like that guy and thought many years ago he would be the first Black Presidant!! Just my thought!!

Powell has pretty much said he won't endorse either candidate... But he's hinted at Obama support.

I read a piece on cnn.com by Gergen (something like "Obama needs a game changer") where he suggested it could be a good idea for Obama to at least partially assemble a group of likely cabinet members in order to assuage the reservations of independent voters who are worried about him being inexperienced by showing he has a strong team put together. If he did that, and he could land at least one name like Powell (if not Powell himself) as part of that group, I think it would be a pretty major asset.
