    You know who else was "wrong" about Iraq? Every Right Wing ditto head in America who lacked critical thinking and choose to have a spoon feed mind before going to war. Now who was the smarter? O'Bama was correct on one of the biggest decisions this country ever made! G.W. Bush and John McCain got it wrong!!!!!!!! I'll say one thing for the majority of Republicans...atleast they won't try to argue if we should of went into Iraq or if they had WMD's anymore.

    how was obama right? he says he would not have voted for war but how are we suppose to know that? clinton and kerry voted for war, so are they "ditto heads" too? Realize that in 2002 we had just been attacked by islamic terriorists and if senators voted no, they would have been seen as weak and probabliy wouldn't have been re-elected.

    Speaking of facts, Obama had none when he was so staunchly against the war in the all-important to the war decision Illinois State Assembly. It was easy to be against the war when no one gave a crap about what you had to say and what you had to say mattered not at all to the decision.

    It is also easy to Monday-Morning QB for everyone once the war became unpopular and no WMDs were found. Fact is that Sadaam himself claimed to have the WMDs. He was spreading that information in order to make himself appear more powerful. Combine that with not allowing inspectors in and you have a pretty solid base for belief that he had them.

    Obama was also aganst the "Surge" startegy which if I may be allowed to Monday Morning QB, was obviously quite succesful.

    Fact is the world is a better place without Sadaam in it and with Iraq being able to govern themselves. If the US was so evil, and self-absorbed as all of the self-hating Americans believe then why are we paying $4/gallon gas? We just went in and cleaned out a country that is sitting on oil for ages. If we were as bad as everyone wants to say, we would have a 51st state right now and it would be renamed "cheap gasland". Every other country in the world occupies and keeps the land that they conquer, we go in clean up the mess and then give it back. How evil is that?

    We know by his public comments immeditly after the vote to go to war with Iraq. It is a well known fact he called it correctly. Please don't try to confuse others.

    [QUOTE=Doc Fluty;6285812]

    ok i went to the site you listed.. and it says:

    and thats it... it talks about he then went on and "fought to help Illinois veterans get the disability pay they were promised" and "he traveled to Russia with Republican Dick Lugar to begin a new generation of non-proliferation efforts designed to find and secure deadly weapons around the world."

    but thats it.. no more laws, no bills no nothing.. he helped passed one bill with tom coburn and then "fought" and "traveled" lol
    ok so you didn't read the wiki page. that's ok McCain's campaign speech writers will get it for you. Here's another excerpt:

    "Obama voted in favor of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act.[56] In September 2006, Obama supported a related bill, the Secure Fence Act.[57] Obama introduced two initiatives bearing his name: "Lugar–Obama," which expanded the Nunn–Lugar cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons,[58] and the "Coburn–Obama Transparency Act," which authorized the establishment of www.USAspending.gov, a web search engine.[59]

    Obama sponsored legislation requiring nuclear plant owners to notify state and local authorities of radioactive leaks.[60] In December 2006, President Bush signed into law the "Democratic Republic of the Congo Relief, Security, and Democracy Promotion Act," marking the first federal legislation to be enacted with Obama as its primary sponsor.[61] In January 2007, Obama co-sponsored the Honest Leadership and Open Government Act, which was signed into law in September 2007.[62] He introduced S. 453, a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections.[63] Obama also introduced the Iraq War De-Escalation Act of 2007. [64]"

    there's more if you're interested. just stop saying "nothing" or "that's it" until you do the research. Saying things that aren't true hurts your credibility, ask W.
