Cecil Fielder says Mets have a shot at Prince Fielder

I don't know if anybody could this about a month ago, but I just came across this article:

    http://aol.sportingnews.com/mlb/stor...prince-fielder

"I don't think the Yankees are gonna get him," Cecil Fielder told the New York Daily News. "But I think if everything goes well on the other side, the Mets are one of those teams that if they get that situation all squared away, they could get him."
Do the Mets have enough to sign him and Reyes? Fielder is the big home run bat the Mets need in the middle of their lineup. I know Davis is at first, but he could easily play left field or right if Fielder came along.

Please no. If the Mets are going to have to go 7 or 8 years if can not be on Prince Fielder.

Ike is out with an injury on his ankle. I don't think he can play the outfield and last time I checked Prince and Cecil didn't even talk. Prince was/is mad and Pissed at Cecil idk why.
    GO METS!

19 Inning game...and the Pirates get ROBBED! Jerry Meals should get FIRED! And then just work for the Braves. What a shame for baseball.

I like Fielder, but would rather go after Kemp in 2013.

If I had to put odds on it Kemp stays a Dodger. I would not plan on him reaching FA.

Their fanbase is really on edge, and their FO makes boneheaded decisions. They will suck and continue to suck for some time, I'm sure Kemp would rather leave LA and embrace NY when the time comes.

The entire organization head to toe will be flushed out by then. They wont let him walk especially with a new ownership who will likely have to pay at least half a million or more for control from MLB. Plus MLB is now running baseball operations not the typical bone heads.

I wouldn't expect Cecil to have the inside scoop on Prince's plans.
