    Best blues rock bands

    http://new.music.yahoo.com/blogs/lis...ues-rock-bands

Kind of a vague description of blues rock, but it's a decent list.
    Thoughts?

Its not a bad list. Not sure about things like the White Stripes or Sabbath, but I think Cream is not a bad choice for one. I might have gone with the Allmans Brothers myself. Nice to see the Black Keys were on there. Its nice when bands today make music that is considered outside of the norm and still get recognition.

Where are the Doobie Brothers, I've always viewed them as a blues band.

I think my dad smoked weed with the Doobie Brothers........

I personally couldn't imagine any other band but Cream winning this. Eric Clapton is truly a GOD.

as amazing as clapton is at blues guitar, i think cream's overall sound is less bluesy than, say, the allmans... who, imo, are the best all-around blues band ever.

Interesting list, definitely some choices that I wouldn't include though.

What about Derek and the Dominos? Sure it's all part of that Clapton branch, but I feel that's his best endeavor.
