Ryane Clowe has agreed to a one-year/$1.6 million contract extension with the San Jose Sharks.
Clowe only played in 15 games last season due to a knee injury. He scored three goals and registered five assists in 2007-08.

I am happy to hear that he was resigned, but I am curious what Sharks Mgmt was thinking only locking him down to a 1yr contract. Could be concerns for injury i suppose, but the size of his heart and determination far out weights that risk...

You can tell that Clowe is a bit unsatysfied with there decision to only extend him 1 year...when he really see's himself as a die hard Shark. Here are his comments on the sign his home town put up to celebrate their Star.... “It’s a really nice sign,” said Clowe. “They had lots of teal in it, so hopefully I’ll be with the Sharks for a while.” That seems like a little punch back at the team Mgmt to me.
