    Lakers interested Luol Deng?

HOOPSWORLD: Reports yesterday suggested that Chicago Bulls’ forward Luol Deng and his agent were ready to issue an “ultimatum” to the Bulls, basically saying if Luol did not have a deal done by September 1st, that he would back away from negotiations and not negotiate again with the Bulls.

League sources suggested that the Lakers, Pistons, Heat and Jazz have all had discussions with Luol Deng’s camp about the framework of a sign-and-trade.

September 1st is such a long time away..... I don't see Chicago letting him go though.

Yeah I don't think it is a big deal right now. It is nothing to be excited about and Deng is far from going to another team right now.

Uh, no. Artest doesn't hit consistently. If that's what we wanted, m ight as well keep vladrad at the 3. We're trying to upgrade defensively at the 3, which is where we're weak. Fish is a smart defensive pg, we know about kobe, gasol will be ok but not bad and bynum is a shot blocker, we just need a SF that's good defending the perimeter, and we're not sure if odom, can do it, we already know that Vladrad and walton can't, we know ariza can but we've got the glut of SF's and someone needs to go, at least 2 of 'em.

This is how we do it! I still believe

DONT TURN THIS IN TO AN ARTEST THREAD!

I don't trust Hoopsworld. They aren't accurate. Spet 1st? If a player isn't signed by then they don't want you. You need to get signed and get to working!

Keep Odom over Deng, Odom does more overall. The Bulls would have to throw in Gooden or Nocioni. I personally would rather have Lamar, unless we can get Marion.

Odom's defense was better than Gasol's weak defense, the problem was at the small forward and center positions during the finals. We were pushed around down low and whomever Luke and Rad were guarding, the matchup was exploited. Rad and Luke are two of the worst defensive small forwards in the league. A healthy Bynum and Ariza helps up greatly on defense.
