    HMDI Inputs

Realistically, how many HDMI inputs do I need?

I was thinking 2, One for blu ray and one cable.

    Thoughts?

Two should be fine for what you mentioned, though a third would be useful if you have an Xbox 360 or a PS3. HDMI picture quality is superior to that of component video.

Always get the max, because as soon as you settle for the least, you'll need one mo.'

I'm guessing he meant digital cable. Some digital cable providers are amazing. I have iO digital cable (it's really popular in New York and parts of New Jersey) and it's amazing. It has hundreds of channels, about 4 dozen HD channels (including ESPN, ESPN2, YES, MSG, SNY, VS, RUSH).

Best of all, the channels change very quickly. I know this may sound somewhat odd, but it's actually a pretty big deal. When I press the channel up or down button on the remote, the channel changes in about a third of a second. My grandma has Comcast digital cable and when you press the channel up or down button, it takes over a second for the channel to change. It makes flipping through the channels to see what's on a pain in the ***. iO also has a great interactive channel guide.
