No, shortsighted Americans turned their back on Bush and Iraq.
Blaming it all on Bush isn't really accurate. The GOP-controlled House and Senate enabled Bush to be the way he was. They still go out and defend him and his policies.

That's why they got beat so badly 2 years ago, and that's why we're going to see another Legislative beatdown this November.

Then again, as long as billionaires continue funding rightwing 527s, the TV time's still going to lean in McCain's favor.

but ill conceed that obama prolly will end up with more money, but as you pointed out some big money anti-obama guys will make up the difference.

    Not really.

90% of a anti-GOP commercials in 2006 were "This guy licks George Bush's nuts."

That was the entire campaign the DNC ran in 2006 and they're running again this year. Is it a good idea? It works.

Also, after this do nothing congress of Democrats has spent more time passing non binding resolutions and passing days honoring insignificant things, they don't deserve another shot. They're braindead morons.
"Compromise, hell! That's what has happened to us all down the line -- and that's the very cause of our woes. If freedom is right and tyranny is wrong, why should those who believe in freedom treat it as if it were a roll of bologna to be bartered a slice at a time?"

The ad campaign was definitely successful, but the tide had already been turning before that. Generic Dem vs. Generic Republican Congressman polls were already turning in favor of the Dems starting in 2005.

And Congress will surprise you in the next two weeks. Reid's about to force a vote on the 100 or so bills that Coburn's been sitting on. They're talking about creating a "Coburn Omnibus" package.

Yeah sorry... I just get tired of seeing the same talking points in here that I hear on Talk Radio every morning...

But yeah, you got my point. Obama should wind up with a good $25-$50 million more than the combined Republican funds, but most of the ads I'm seeing out here (battleground state) are accompanied by "this ad is independent of any presidential campaign" disclaimers.
