Who would you rather have for the 2009 season?

All depends on what I need. Morneau is a very good hitter and fielder, but Ortiz and the 138 OPS he's posted in his career more than covers the difference (Morneau OPS+ of 122).
As in, a crapshoot for 2009 that Ortiz returns to form, or take each player at the top of their game? If that's the case, then Ortiz.
Ah, then in that case, I think possibly Justin.
Ortiz now becomes an unknown. He struggled mightily in the beginning of this season (Then picked it up), and we're not quite sure how that wrist is (He says he won't play 100% for the rest of the year).
I would take Morneau, depending on how Ortiz recovers of course
This year alone(assuming Ortiz is healthy) I'd take Big Papi but Morneau will have better numbers beyond 2009 I believe.
My Brett Gardner 2013 Projection:
.282 BA / .368 OBP / .405 SLG / 42 SBs / 4.3 WAR

Morneau
Morneau
So that's what you need to get with Elisha Cuthbert
I said Morneau but if I knew Ortiz would be 100% he would be my choice.
Martell Webster "I'm addicted to this game. How bout you?"
Michael Beasley "I like cheeseburgers"
Morneau, but if Ortiz is fully healthy him.
This is a funny question because I just traded Ortiz for Morneau in the MLB mock deadline
if Ortiz is healthy I would take him in a heartbeat
Ortiz... but like everyone else said. Only if healthy.
