I say Utley
I say Utley
Not a fair comparison at all, both have their importance. Why dont you compare something like Utley vs. Uggla vs. Kinsler and Hanley vs. Jose vs. Rollins
yeah, i cannot pick between a 2b and SS who have 2 completely different roles.
Yeah I don't really think it's fair, Utley pwns him.
I would take Utley.
I dislike Reyes.
Utley, but depends on what type of player you need.
"The way they play offense here is difficult for any quarterback," he said. "Every snap is an incredible decision. They're in a one-back offense, they can't run the ball against certain looks so they have to audible to some kind of a pass or a creative run to get away from trouble.
"There's never a play in the game where Stafford can just turn around, hand the ball off and catch his breath. Every play he's researching the defense and they throw as much as anyone."
Utley, no doubt.
He woulda been ****ed in Washington...
Update: Turns out he was ****ed in Kansas City too

Compare a leadoff man to a cleanup hitter. That makes sense.
"We're snakebitten, baby." --Fred Wilpon
Utley's the better player by far.
Fair comparison indeed.
Wanna show me Utley's numbers when he was 25?
Oh I'll add that Utley plays in a baseball heaven for hitters especially LH and Reyes doesn't.
So what? Comparing players at different positions is fine, as long as you factor that in.Reyes is a SS, Utley is a 2B.
Utley has about 2500 MLB at bats and 1648 minor league at bats, so about 4148 AB total.Reyes is 25 and developing, Utley is at his career high now.
Reyes has about 2900 MLB at bats and 1303 minor league at bats, so about 4203 total.
Reyes was added by the Mets in 1999, Utley was drafted in 2000.
Utley hands down. He could give you what you need and produce at any spot in the lineup.
