He's a bust. He has extreme talent, but never produced the way he was expected since his acquisition. His production has decreased every year we've had him.
Originally he was acquired with Skoula in the Willie Mitchell trade. His most productive season came in 2006 when he put up 18 points in 57 games for Houston. He played in only 9 NHL games and recorded 1 assist. He looked very promising in the WHL when he played for Tri-City, which is why we wanted him with Skoula for Mitchell. His final season in Tri-City he recorded 13 goals and 45 points in just 62 games. However in recent years with Houston he hasn't proved himself worthy of a call up and our other d-men like Stoner and Reitz passed him up, making him expendable now because of our recent bolstering of the blue line through trades and the draft. The drafting of Cuma basically was the end of Belle's time in our system.
