What do you think of the Capitals free agents sign and trades so far?

very disappointing. Besides Huet taking them for a ride and using them to barter for more money, the caps could have still made a splash (nice save with the theordore signing). Not asking for much but a stay at home defender. There were plenty available that all went for $3-4 mil per year (Commodore, Orpik, etc). I also liked Vrabata, RW and thought being russian he would like to be on ovie or semin's line. instead he went to the lightening... now mcphee said he's not going to go after anyone left... why not trade pothier, or any of those 3/4 liners we have on O for A name player. Isn't our minor league team overflowing with talent?

I can't really complain. As bigity mentioned, a nice D pickup would have been good (and probably necessary), but this team made the playoffs last year so BIG moves were not needed. Adding pieces to the puzzle will help out, and who knows maybe GmGm has something else pondering.

I hope and am thinking GMGM has some trade wheels turning especially since all but two (alzner and theodore) of his signings so far have been to stock hershey...
