    Laraque Heads Home

Montrealer Georges Laraque signs up to play goon for the Habs. Well, it'll certainly put a stop to the "soft" chatter.

Mark Denis is also headed to the Canadiens according to TSN.

Denis might be a good teacher. That's Halak's exit card.

As for Laraque, look at he big upside: He gets to pound the Sens eight times (or is this the new schedule year?).

One area Leaf and Hab fans agree: Ottawa blows!

Big Georges is more than simply a goon..Yea, the guy can knock any heavyweight around in the league, but he brings intangibles to the Habs that they sorely lack..

Size is one of them..Toughness/Leadership/Strength along the boards/etc..are others..

I am ecstatic about this signing as it will open a lot more ice for our skilled guys...

I think the guy is so strong he can lift a house...lol

I maybe way off regarding Tanguay, but I see his leadership in post-season as valuable as the 100 points he'll score this season. Georges, if he plays smart, will add the confidences needed to a playoff team. I see great things for the next few years for the rouge, blanc, et bleu.
