A league source said Atlanta GM Don Waddell is so determined to bring Campbell into the fold that the Thrashers might be willing to table a five-year, $42-million US deal (that's $8.4 million a season).
That is coming out of some article in the Ottawa Sun under the article Sens on Campbell's list

Brian Campbell would be the perfect fit and would fill one of our glaring holes. There are several holes that need to be filled, defense, center, another scorer, defense - did I mention defense
I saw several articles linking Campbell and Don Waddells names together (Montreal, Ottawa, AJC). That would be perfect, but we will have to drastically over-pay to lure in top free agents.
