The Sea Dogs have just released the full set of their 2008 baseball cards. If you're a card collector, don't miss your chance to pick up a set that includes up-and-coming stars like Michael Bowden and Kris Johnson.

The Boston Red Sox have promoted Sea Dogs’ outfielder Jeff Corsaletti, and infielder Sandy Madera to Triple-A Pawtucket. Infielders Lars Anderson and Argenis Diaz have been promoted from Single-A Lancaster to the Portland Sea Dogs. Outfielder Bryan Prtiz will join the Sea Dogs from Triple-A Pawtucket and infielder Kris Negron was returned to Single-A Greenville. Anderson will wear uniform # 21, Diaz will wear # 3, and Pritz # 6, they become the 40th, 41st, and 42nd players to wear a Sea Dogs uniform this season.
    More here.

The Sea Dogs have also added Josh Reddick, albeit temporarily. Reddick joined the Sea Dogs roster Monday when Bubba Bell was placed on the DL.

Portland lost its second game in the Eastern League playoffs to host Trenton, 4-3. Starter Clay Buchholz allowed three runs on six hits with one walk in six innings. He struck out nine and got a no-decision. That series continues tonight at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine, at 7 as the Sea Dogs try to avoid a sweep in the best-of-five series.
