Ahh you beat me to it!!!

But its a shame that BC and Miami wont be playing this year. I was really looking forward to BC continuing its streak of DOMINANCE against the U.

Miami has another tough non-conference schedule by playing at Florida and Texas A&M. Even UCF without Kevin Smith isnt a cakewalk.

It looks like UNC is really trying to challenge themselves and see if they are any good. Aside from their conference schedule they are also playing Notre Dame, Rutgers, and UConn

Yeah i realize that, but the past is the past. I was more referring to how BC has been dominating Miami all the way since the 2007 season. But i am still scared of Miami because i know that at any point they can utilize that talent and be the team from 2001...

God, I loved that team...they were so sick at every position, and Ken Dorsey was the PERFECT college QB.

I will give you my prediction, and Im sure hughest will chime in shortly.

Aug. 30 at Kent State (Cleveland) W
    Sept. 6 Georgia Tech W
    Sept. 20 UCF W
    Sept. 27 Rhode Island W
Oct. 4 at NC State W
    Oct. 18 Virginia Tech L
Oct. 25 at North Carolina W
    Nov. 1 Clemson L
    Nov. 8 Notre Dame W
Nov. 15 at Florida State L
Nov. 22 at Wake Forest W
    Nov. 29 Maryland W

Overall - I will say 9-3 at best...I think the FSU loss was a stretch, but it is just my opinion. They will have to break in a new QB this year, but they have a pretty easy non-conference schedule this year.

Haha your opinion is much appreciated and respected...I was just wondering how BC fans (or any college football fans) thought about how BC would fare with the new QB...the non-conference schedule seems a bit too easy here

I am going to hold off on any predictions for now because there are still so many questions regarding a lot of these teams.(13-0, National Champions!!!)

How affective will Paul Johnson's new offensive system be?
Will NC State continue to improve under a very good head coach in Tom O'Brien?
Will Clemson once again be that team that doesnt perform to their potential?
Is all of Notre Dame's talent going to show up this year?

I have seen many people say that we will be a solid 8 or 9 win team, so you should probably listen to what Bullsfan has to say. If i look at it in a negative way i could see us maybe only winning 6 games.

BC lost a lot of talented seniors and the ones that will hurt a lot are Ryan, Callender, Whitworth, Silva, Dunbar, and Tribble. I still think our defense will be very good and impossible to run on, but the real question mark is the offense. Our 2 top returning running backs are not going to be playing this season so we are going to have to rely on a True freshman Josh Haden most likely. I'm not real concerned about having Chris Crane at QB. He is a solid passer, smart, and has pretty good mobility for a bigger guy.

I'm trying to look at this from a non-bias perspective and if i had to say, i think we would be a solid bowl-eligible team. From my perspective as a fan, i can see a way we win every single game and go undefeated.

Sorry for this long-winded explanation of how i feel, and i hope to see you around the CFB Forums more often. BTW, who is your favorite team?

I'm a Notre Dame guy but I follow BC closely because my cousin is an alumni...I went to ND vs. BC last year in South Bend...crazy game...crazy atmosphere...actually fooled myself into thinking that ND had a chance when they scored a second touchdown to make it 27-14 or something like that...can't wait to go again this year if i can get a ticket (Is it hard to get tickets to BC @ BC?)

I'm a little concerned though for BC since they lost all that talent that you mentioned...the QB situation will be an adventure but at least you still know you have Kevin Challenger to rely on...it's not having Callender that will probably hurt you the most since he was always there for those screen passes...but who knows maybe one of your other running backs will come up big

Actually i'm pretty sure that Kevin Challenger was also a senior last year. I'm not really that worried about the WR's because we still have a bunch of guys returning including Brandon Robinson and Rich Gunnell. By the end of the year they were our best 2. The offense should be interesting next year though, you are right about that.

I actually dont go to BC, i just follow all of there teams because my cousin was the head baseball coach there for 9 years. From what i have heard though, sometimes they have a hard time getting people to go to the games. It might be harder because ND is kind of a "rivalry game" so i would try to get tickets as soon as you can. Its not a big stadium so they might sell out fast.

As if that last post didn't make me look like a total fool...damn I didn't know Challenger was gone...I have a lot of BC football to watch this season because I don't know anyone anymore...I heard the stadium was awesome but not that big like you said...I had a chance to go to it for my cousin's graduation by skipped it for a Yanks-Mets game...yea that makes me sound like a a**h*** but I got those Yanks-Mets tickets a while back...and the Mets won so it was a great night. I await to see the BC stadium/campus soon though because my cousin said BC is like no other...he is in love with it still after graduating and hopes he can move to Boston...my other cousin goes to Notre Dame and that campus is the best I've been to

Yeah Boston College is a nice place to be and its very unique. I really wanted to go to college there but it was just way to expensive for me, and my grades weren't good enough to get me a scholarship or anything like that. I hope you enjoy yourself on your trip and definitely start watching some BC football. They could get very predictable with TOB as head coach but the times are changing...
