BC getting that kind of national exposure never hurts on the recruiting trail.

Especially on the west coast. I'd like to see us recruit out there more often. In Rettig, you can see the talent that comes out of that state year after year.

Picked up a local talent in Jaryd Rudolph yesterday. He's only a 2-star prospect according to Rivals.

It's undetermined where he plays at the next level, but it's either OL/DL.

LB Dominic LeGrande got picked up for a DUI a couple nights ago back home in Staten Island, NY. Given that he's still only 20 years old, this could pose a real problem.

    Very nice, very nice.

Good to see some young talent come in now that Haden left the team.

Scouts Inc. made some fearless predictions for next year, and low and behold #2...

    2. Rettig to the rescue
Under Armour All-American quarterback Chase Rettig (Sierra Madre, Calif./San Clemente) will emerge as a starter for Boston College. His arm strength and savviness will push Dave Shinskie sooner rather than later. Plus, being an early enrollee will help him to pick up the offense this spring.

Thats huge that he is going to play Spring ball.

I like Shinskie, but he made to many costly errors. I would love to see Rettig playing, but at the very least he will push Shinskie and make him better.

Yeah, Shinskie confused the hell out of me. Rather than getting better as the season went on, I think he got worse.

I mean for what it's worth, Shinskie really only struggled versus super athletic teams. VTech, UNC and USC were probably the most athletic teams we played all year (discounting Clemson since he got taken out after 1 pass attempt there) and those were where he struggled most. That's clearly not something you can just deal with in college football, but it's at least something to note.

Anyone have any updates on whats been going on with BC this offseason?

2 other things I'd like to mention is:

    1. I was up today at BC and ran some routes on the field...pretty fun.
    2. I won a signed Matt Ryan game used helmet at a silent auction this weekend. My new favorite piece of memorabilia.

Marscovetra definitely needs to be starting over Shinskie.
