I am a new lakers fan. (since 2005-2006) I started out a kings fan. YES I SAID KINGS.
This is what happened...... I was a kings fan living in sac 2003. Moved to bay area in 2005. i worked as a limo driver for the 4seasons hotel in san fran. so i got to drive the nba players when they stayed at the hotel when they played against the warriors. So when the kings came to stay i thought it would be pretty cool to see my favorite players bibby and artest ect... I got to meet artest (he was the only cool one outta them all) in the alley of the hotel entrance. I drove salmons, corliss williamson, sharif abdul, kenny thomas and Jason Hart. Sharif and Hart and salmons were in the car with me and sharif and those dudes was talkin about how they is only playing for their paycheck ( corliss tipped me $20 on a seperate ride) and never tipped for the ride. the kings played the warriors the next day and it looked like they were only playing for their paychecks. I had just spent 200 bucks for the nba league pass and felt duped. All my favorite players were gone besides bibby, (peja hedo webber christie) and i just couldnt connect with the new team after that experience.:cry: So i wanted to choose a new team to watch, but i had to choose the right team because i didnt want to be attached to players that i loved and then they be traded. so i decided to choose an organization dedicated to winning basketball. So I chose the Lakers because they are the best at it. celtics had more titles but they won all those when i wasnt even thought of. Lakers were always in it, so i knew id never have too many years without my team being in the hunt.
Been lovin it ever since.
Call me a bandwagoner or a red shirt rookie. I have to hear it from my friends when L.A loses so I can certainly celebrate with Yall when L.A wins.

4 - What other teams/sports do you root for? - I'm from Jersey, I love Philadelphia teams. I just grew up watching the Shaq/Kobe combo and became a huge fan of Kobe, probably becuase of his dad playing in Philly and the fact that he grew up here. So, that's why I'm a Lakers fan.
5 - Do you think the Lakers can win a championship next season? - Absolutely. Bynum is going to play hard to prove that the Lakers should keep him, putting him above Dwight, but if we get Dwight, he plays at such a high intensity that it will put us above the rest.
6 - Anything else you want to add. - Yea, I wanna see Metta retire a Laker, I love the toughness and craziness he brings to the team.
