Thats a tough one. He is a great player but really what stat or accomplishment does he have that you can put your finger on and say thats why he should be in the HOF. Thats something that is usually needed to sell voters.

Its a good point, I did some research, and what I found was that Dawkins was the 9th player to reach 20 sacks and 20 picks in a career, he also has almost 1000 tackles (898 right now), he also has 33 career forced fumbles, a stat that has become somewhat of a calling card

I would venture to say yes, although he'll probably have to wait a few years.
