I'd just as soon forget it. My proudest moment in the Lou is working at the Olivette Officemax in 1998. This guy came in and started rapping with his friends who worked in electronics with me. His name was Nelly, but he wasn't famous at that point. I got him to start rapping about The Loop one day.
I kind of like to think that this was the beginning of the song/video "Air Force One".
However, when he started rapping, I lived up to my white guy heritage. I danced... like this:
But I miss St. Louis like none other.
