WHL vs Russia is on tonight, as a reminder. Hopefully see Rielly dangle some Ruskies.

Frattin gets 2 goals in his season debut. Gonna be a big boost to the Marlies

Anyone heard if Matt Finn is hurt? He wasn't in the game last night against Mississauga. Garret Sparks got the win giving up 2 goals on 29 shots. David Broll had an assist against the Battalion. Connor Brown had an assist against the Rangers and Tyler Biggs had 2 goals against Belleville.

Lavy's turning into the dol-fan of the leafs prospect thread.

Things will always work out in the end, but if you want them to turn out a certain way... You need to make it happen.

Finn had the flu/late stages on mono. Seen both reports on twitter, but can't imagine he's out much longer.

Kadri with 3 assists in the Marlies game today. Almost back to a PPG. Same with Gardiner.

Gardiner's really worked on his shot this year as well. Has a nice slapper this year, would have looked nice on the PP Will be nice to finally have a PP QB who can also shoot.

edit: Kadri with 4 assists today, now a PPG for the season

It was funny hearing it tonight on the radio; they were discussing Kadri and saying how Eakins told him to stop trying to dangle and make it more simple. Then they told him he was making it too simple. Then he was dangling too much again. I was laughing pretty hard in the car. Reminded me of trying to tell a dog to sit and roll over at the same time or something.

He does have 10 pts in 4 games since being a healthy scratch. Something changed in him. Just need to see this player every game, especially when he's in the NHL.

I wouldn't necessarily call him a PP QB, but I do guess Liles shoots quite a bit. But Gardiner has quite the slapper/one timer working this year. Would have been nice to see with the Leafs this year

Phaneuf is NOT the QB on the the PP...he tries to be the shooter, but has a real difficult time hitting the net (always trying to shoot on the move it seems). The QB on any PP is the player that controls the tempo of the play. This is generally done from the blue line. Gardnier has the potential to be a decent QB and that potential seems to have gotten better not that he is developing a better shot. This will help keep the PK honest. Remember when Kaberle was the QB with the Leafs. Teams found out he wouldn't shoot the puck if he had a gun pointed at his head. He was an elite passer, but the PK unit would key in on the players he was passing to more so than him. Killed Brian McCabes career in Toronto

This is what killed Bryan McCabe. Kabby wouldn't shoot, they took away the one timer from McCabe and everyone realized how bad a d man McCabe actually was defensively when he wasn't putting up 50-60 pts. The rest is history. Shooting the puck into your own net in OT didn't help either.

2012-2013 CENTRAL SCOUTING RANKINGS. Not too many surprises. Spencer Martin have moved up to the top goalie in the OHL. I've been saying all year the kid is a stud.

Unless there's a cant miss guy, we won't be getting a goalie in the first. 3rd round MAYBE

Spencer Martin has enough upside to draft in the 2nd round
