We really dont have any defenseman prospects other than Gunnarson in the entire system which is very concerning. And Carl doesnt have star potential.

Sleeper prospect is Jerry D'Amigo imo as he has a good skillset and is putting up numbers in the NCAA.

^Jesse Blacker is a pretty good defensive prospect, I'm pretty high on him as are quite a few people. Wouldn't surprise me to see him in our top 5 by seasons end. D'Amigo was a steal at the draft, guys who produce in the NCAA tend to do well at the pro levels. The darkhorse prospect that I've always followed is Jimmy Hayes. A huge kid with a rocket shot and is a good skater. Potential power forward and now that he's finally getting minutes at Boston College he's producing. Seems as though he's never talked about.

Blacker asked for a trade at the start of the year because he wasn't getting any minutes in Windsor so he was dealt to Owen Sound where he's the main man on the blue line. It was a good move for Blacker, he's a really good prospect and he wasn't getting the kind of minutes he needed to getting to further his development. One thing with Blacker is, he's a great skater, great shot thus making him a projectable NHL d-man. After seeing him in the prospects camp, I see no reason why he can't make the NHL one day. His only real knock is he tries to carry the puck too much sometimes. He was a great pick, along with D'Amigo, probably our best two picks.

Windsor is so stacked its redicolous. They traded Blackner whos a 7th prospect for a legit NHL team yet are still jacked with all their players. BTW Mitchell plays for Windsor also, i believe he plays on the 3rd line lol

If Blacker stuck around we'd have 3 prospects on that team.

Kenny Ryan(second rounder last June) left Boston College to play for the Spitfires pretty much the same day Blacker asked for a trade and didn't play another game for the Spits lol. Strange circumstances.

They made some nice trades and convinced a lot of guys to leave school to play for them.

The scary thing is that Josh Bailey could still be playing there.

Yeah it's crazy how stacked that roster is, they're absolutely killing every team. Problem is, they're going to lose alot of talent after this year. Kind of like how London lost pretty much everyone but Kadri from last year. Pretty much impossible to keep together a skilled junior team.
