The Leafs have been horrible when it comes to devloping players, now that we actually have some decent prospects and a possible franchise goalie like Pogge, they should let the kids take there time especially Pogge, you need to remember that goalies are different from other players, they take longer to devlope and their prime occurs much later on then forwards/defensemen.

ya i think everyone can look at the penguins for that example, Marc-andre flury was in the NHL way to soon, and hes just starting to look good now.

I'd say Kulemin and Tlusty are worth watching. Grabovski is also someone I'm starting to like.

I say those 4 are the only ones with a real future with the team. Also pogge probabally does as well. BTW he is 0-1-1 with a 2.4 gaa and a 920 save percentage which is pretty good. Hopefully he gets a midseason call so we can finally see what he has. Like he wasnt bad last year 2.46 gaa and 909 save percentage yet he didnt get the call or start in the ahl playoffs? Can someone explain this

Well, frankly, Pogge didn't deserve a callup last year. He was shaky and you need to be very, very careful with young goalies. You don't want to rattle a goalies confidence. His numbers last year were good but translate it to the NHL level and how would be? If he had a 2.46 GAA and a .909 SV% last year he probably wouldn't have been very good with the big club. He'd probably post a GAA over 3 and a SV% under .900. He wasn't ready and IMO he's still not ready. The real question that should've been asked last year was the fact that Pogge wasn't played enough. It didn't make alot of sense.

I agree, and this year he should have a heavy workload of 50 games and maybe a callup to the big club and then a playoff run

I dont know why he didnt start in the playoffs last yr the AHL should be a breeding ground for our prospects. Cliff should have called up the coach of the marlies and force him to start pogge because he is allowed to do that
