College: Mizzou(alma mater), UNC(used to live near Chapel Hill)

I wanna pick up hockey for next season and I'm looking at all the teams in my metro area....naturally I'd probably be an Islanders fan since I'm from LI but I figure I would check out the others (Rangers, Sabres, Devils)...so I wanted to know do you think it's acceptable for a person from New York to be a Devils fan?

Dude I live near Seattle, WA and I'm a big Devils fan.


We have the best goalie ever to play the game, he has set/break more records than anyone. We have some of the best forwards and the best GM/CEO. our ownership is the only thing that's shakey. Devils fan for life!!!

Not at all wrong. Root for the team of your choice. You would be loyal to root for the Isles since they are currently one of the worst teams in the league (getting better in 5 years) but root for any team you want. Sabres are an awesome team too but are inconsistent. It would be hard because I don't think they show them around here unless you go upstate.
