Any Indiana fans around? What would you say the Pacers team needs are now, and what would they be looking for in a Jermaine O'neal trade? (2 sperate questions)
I'm not an indiana fan... but I somehow feel like the Pacers are not going anywhere as it is now. first they need to get rid of JO and trade him for expirings and draft picks. I'd seriously consider shaking up that franchise and really start the rebuilding progress...
In the NBA you basicly have 3 types of teams... 1 contenders (playoff teams who actually stand a little chance to win it) then you have rebuilding teams, those are young, have not too many big contracts and a bright future ahead. And the 3rd party are the teams stuck in the middle... like Indiana, Clippers, Philly etc. those teams are "ok" but they just don't have the talent to go all the way. If you're stuck there you either need some blockbuster trades to get it rolling or seriously start rebuilding. This is what Indiana needs to do IMO
nets need a big man like jermain o'niel
Rockets need a point guard (Backup or starter), depth (mainly backup center for Yao), a 3 point shooter, and a scoring power forward.
Rockets
Astros
Texans
Dynamo
Right now the Pacers biggest need is someone to replace Jermaine O'Neal. we might be able to get it in the draft, someone like JaVale McGee, Marreese Speights, DeAndre Jordan, Kevin Love, or Hasheem Thabeet (I'd rather not get him). After that we need a point guard to play next to or in front of Travis Diener, unless we keep Murray (they are a good combo).
Celtics need a C --> we should draft Ante Tomic

Ante Tomic on nbadraft.net:"At 7-1, has tremendous height and length ... Offensively, he is a complete player with a variety of post moves and great touch inside."
The opposite of Perkins, Tomic could be a nice sub for us
Orlando Magic Team Needs
Starting Center (allow Dwight Howard to move back to PF)
Starting PG (Jameer Nelson isn't cutting it)
Bench Depth at the following positions: F/C
Pacers need a new PF Okafor would be nice or trade JO+1st rounder to Philly For Miller+Dalmbert
Miller
Dunleavy
Danny
Foster
Dalmbert
Or trade Travis, Troy & Shawne for Elton Brand then match up salerys w/Charlotte's Okafor then trade J0 for Redd
DJ (our pick)
Redd
Danny
Okafor
Foster
somthing like this or anyother ideas
(weirder things have happend)![]()
the rockets definatly shouldn't be concerned with getting a PF. Scola and Landry make a strong tandem.
Rockets needs in order of importance:
1. athletic 2/3. one who can create his own shot and make free throws.
2. upgraded PG. Alston has proven this year to be solid, but Adelman's system lives and dies by his PG.
3. backup center. a tall, athletic big man to fill the giant void often left by our beloved Yao.
Dreams: Rafer Alston and Shane Battier to Toronto for T.J. Ford and Carlos Delfino; Luther Head, Chuck Hayes and Bobby Jackson (Expiring Contract) to Memphis for Mike Miller; Draft a Center at #24; Resign Carl Landry and sign Mickael Pietrus with MLE. By the way, the money works on all of these moves.
...only in dreams.

Alston+Jackson for Dunleavy and a S&T David Harrison who is 7'1 Big and athletic?
jazz could do with another back up point guard, a big center that can defend and if we can get a scoring guard to compliment d-will that would be a bonus
