Well. Monopoly breeds monotony. Let 2K have a football license and this probably isn't an issue.

I stopped playing it a few years ago. I thought it was because I was just getting old, but it turns out, its because the game really does suck. Its not fun anymore. You have to spend 3 weeks tweaking the sliders to get a realistic game.

One of the comments on there was amusing:

"Who cares about a ridiculous overhyped cover vote when we have a game where most penalties arenít called, O-linemen miss blocking assignments, thereís no gang tackling, punt return coverage is broken"

Sounds like the real NFL to me!

I think the last Madden I bought was 2003 on the Xbox 360? I've never been willing to buy it more than once in a console generation. I won't buy it for the Xbox One until at least the 3rd year on the system and until that year's copy has dropped into the $30 range.

There has only ever been one good American Football video game.

One of the main problems with Madden is that it doesn't have enough plugs for Snickers, Gatorade, Verizon, and ESPN. Another is that the loading times are too short and they're only able to show one commercial. Why wouldn't I want to see a commercial for Geico AND another for McDonalds in the few minutes I'm waiting for game to start?

Here is the real problem with the Madden game: The average American person who continues to buy it (myself included). I remember one year going to GameStop at midnight when they had the launch. I had to wait outside there were that many people. People are going to continue to buy Madden, so what reason is there for EA Sports to do something of value to improve the game?
