My school's baseball team is, and always has been a joke. Taylor Buchholz (Rockies) is from my town though (not my school). I'm not sure we've had anyone play D1 baseball. I know a couple guys I graduated with are playing D3.

We're much more known for basketball (some guy who plays for the Lakers--#24 I think) and for Lax.

My dad was recruited by the Yankees, Phillies and Pirates out of high school, but he tore his rotator cuff

Jarret Jackson, drafted in the 36th or 37th round by the Indians in 2006 as a draft and follow. He graduated a year before me. I was in chemistry with him and he was pretty terrible at it. Typical geeky sports fan helping a jock scenario.

Devin Collis, drafted by the Rockies 2 years ago and a lefty reliever in their system (low A ball), went to the same high school as me. He graduated '02 though, 2 years before me. Mark Buehrle also went to the same high school, but he's 7 years older.

my soph year of hs we had 7 guys drafted and it would of been 8 but the last said he wouldnt sign unless he was gonna get a mil (he had a full ride) i know john drennan signed (the guy who hit the homer of clemons in the minors) and john dutton signed (the dodgers) im pretty sure tj peabody signed but then didnt make it i think the rest went to school. my school has some mlb alumni such as cole hamels and hank blalock, i didnt have classes with them tho. i also played travel ball with a kid name brandon fowler who signed with the royals

My freshman year in high school I nearly got into a fight with a senior named Mark Redman. He's pitched for the Twins, Tigers, Florida, Oakland, Pittsburgh, KC, Atlanta, and Colorado. I believe he was with Florida in 2003 when they won the World Series.

What happened with mamador? Why'd he get banned?

And I don't think he really knows Porcello. Mamador goes to my school, and Porcello played at a school in our conference, so I guess that was enough for him to think that he "knew" him...lol

    EDIT: Nvm...found the reason. Wow...
