Horrible, horrible team.
He wishes he was signed by Yakult -- Jingu is a much better hitters park.
Well, after a two game winning streak against two awful teams, who can blame them for celebrating?
That's what I was thinking -- out of their motley overstock of OF's and DH's, who is going to play. Circus.
If he wants to maintain his health, shouldn't Lagares stay as far away as possible from the Mets' medical staff?
I think Sandy will wrap up major FA signings with a pitcher and will acquire a SS via trade at the Winter meetings. Just my hunch.
Circus. And Melo is the lead clown.
Saw/heard this on SNY tonight: "We just gotta do what we gotta do"... Melo is absolutely dead from the neck up but well rehearsed with the cliches. BTW, the Nuggets are looking good with our former...
Well said. +1000 x Infinity.
A not-so-subtle Kiss Of Death delivered by Melo.
Replace Niese with Gee on those deals.
I just want to know if this deal is going down before or after the chat with Boras.
With his hinky pitching motion and multiple arm angles, Arroyo's consistency and durability is pretty amazing. Maybe this is the secret to his being so injury-free.
They tell you it is beef...
Keep him. In 2013 he fully reverted to his pre-injury performance. He is as solid a middle/back end guy as we are going to find.
I think you are right, and not only based on his preference, but because paying his asking price and contract length is only worthwhile for a team that believes it is on the cusp of a championship.
What Arroyo gives you is a sense of security in that he will make every scheduled start, not go on the DL and give pitch 200+ decent innings. $12 million per should have more upside than that. I'd...
Good God! Could they be scraping any farther down in the barrel? The good news is, both of these guys will be playing overseas.
The coaching and personnel both stink. Hence, 3-10. The record doesn't lie.
THIS. And the last two years have been far from decent, let alone $7.5 million good. A career year might as well be lightyears away.
I just don't get the Chris Young signing. It cannot be based on his last two years' performance, so SA has just paid $7.25 million in the hope that he will bounce back to 2010ish levels simply by...
Best signing of the year, no doubt.
New York or not, the trouble is, every FA "star" or "superstar" very publicly talks to the Knicks and makes noise about signing with them when they are only using this to drive up their price in...
Trade his *** to a team that is flush with 1st Round draft picks in the next couple of years, plus expiring contracts. Hopefully unprotected picks and including picks from other teams so we can get...
