Only $13M left to spend.
Well we'll see, I am not sold on Young at all. I can see a lot of 1-2-3 innings with the lineup looking the way it does now.
BA matters to me, especially when the team only has ONE avg hitter, and Murphy who hits for a decent average.
Remember that when he's K'ing all over the place, that's one the issues I have, too many low avg. K-prone hitters.
He's declined for 3 years as far as I am concerned. He hit .200 last year.
Whether he was worth 7M has yet to be determined.
He's declined for 3 years.
By the way the most predictable person has gone missing, and he's Fred and Sandy's biggest fan.
Who said anything about Granderson?
There's also a very legit chance he doesn't, as he's been declining for 3 years.
They've signed 1 player in 4 years....
It does if you're ears needs syringing or you have no grasp of poetry.
The Mets sign ONE player in FOUR years and everyone acts like it's Christmas.
The wrong plan.
I don't see a .200 hitter as replacement for Byrd.
The Mets have started to improve, there's a long way to go before the team is legit. The team is still being strangled by the...
That's not what I said. But you tell yourself it was.
Also how am I wrong?
We should be adding to Wright, Granderson and Murphy- the only 3 legit hitters we have. Not trading Murphy away. Now Granderson is better than Bryd, but essentially all we have done is replaced him...
Some nice attempts at humor there...
I'm happy with it, but I hope it's not back-loaded. The Mets need to make more moves though. It's no use going half-way.
No-one likes the 4th year, and he's 32 already, but if you don't overpay you don't get anyone. Maybe he's still productive in year 4, but likely not, we can probably assume that already. But that's...
Well, he's a master of something...
I'd rather have Daniel who is traveling tonite on a plane, on which red taillights can be seen heading to Spain.
I don't want to hear any excuses if they fail. I hope they're not going to back load this deal. If they do it just shows have strapped for cash they really are. It should be front loaded if anything....
I bet the Sox will jump back in on Granderson. And to think it was mooted Ellsbury wouldn't get much over $100M. I hope the Ellsbury signing and the forthcoming Cano one forever kill off this idea...
The Mets won't pay what it takes. They know he isn't signing for 3 years, so that's where they pitch their offer.
Not when you hit .200 and are declining.
