Are professional hitters that bad that they cannot bunt and hit an entire side of the field....or is Girardi that dumb not to even try...even with Overbay

another injury...delightful!
I don't get it...bunt Robbie!

yes Toronto's rotation of JJ, Morrow, Dickey, Buerhle, and Romero has the "potential" to be very good....but so does the Yankee Rotation and so do many rotations in the league....Maybe somehow JJ...
Ok Chicken Littles, the sky is not falling...the Yankees will be good next year...fear is overblown, no real players ever fear anybody
Hold on to our prospects! Trade ALL our prospects away! This forum gets bipolar pretty easily.
When was the last time a team that looks best on paper won the WS?
No need to panic...CC is CC...Andy will be back...Nova is solid....Kuroda and Hughes are up and down...Garcia and Phelps are just place holders...come playoffs, if our pitchers are hot we will go...
Close....maybe with a few more productive years..like most have already said
Figured this would be a hate on Jeter thread...It may be Jeter or maybe Ripken, depends how you value HRs, Ave, and SB...either way it is not either by a lot...thats just silly
Not hard to figure out...a tough lefty started...so Ibanez and Gardner get the day off since they are lefty...Jones takes Gardner's spot and Nunez plays allowing the occational DH day for Jeter,...
Why does CC get no love in this forum... 2011 - ERA 3.00 19 Wins; 2010 - ERA 3.18 21 Wins; 2009 - ERA 3.37 19 Wins - I know that wins and ERA aren't the be all end all of statistics, but they do show...
Don't forget...we can also score runs with anyone in baseball..that helps a pitching staff greatly
But who cares about those 5? That's not the yankee roatation...you are setting up a straw man to knock down...It's like saying "boy the sox really have us at SS on the days Jeter takes off"...who...
The whole nature of the debate is off...it should be set up, who do you got yankees - CC, Kuroda, Nova, Hughes, Garcia, Andy, and Pindea or Sox - Lester, Beckett, Bucholtz, Bard, Dubront, Dice K, and...
Ibanez seems like a done deal..better question, if Chavez doesn't sign, who takes that spot on the 25 man roster?
No need to spend..plenty of in house options, Drob, Joba, Soriano
damon...but seems like the will sign which ever will take less between damon and ibanez
before...as others have said..very important to know whether you and your partner mesh...also living together first is key...you can love someone but you dont know if you are compatable until you...

if we need a starter, who gets dropped out of the rotation? It would have to be a front line type guy and there aren't many like that.
Pitching? Really? Maybe one bullpen lefty, but seems like our rotation is just fine and even have nova for depth.
My List
AL:
Red Sox- Ted Williams
Yankees-Babe Ruth
Blue Jays-Roy Halliday
Orioles-Cal Ripken
Rays-Evan Longoria
Tigers-Ty Cobb
White Sox- Ed Walsh
I agree...Garcia and Colon look good and looking forward...25 wins from the 2 combined is not out of the realm of possibilities
