I've heard the Cubs are exploring the option of pursuing Diaz as a third baseman. Take it for what it's worth, but I certainly think it lends creedence to joeby's info.

The Cubs have money to burn. A 10% chance at an Olt-type (who is no guarantee to be a quality major leaguer, by the way) is in no universe a better option than just signing Bourn.

If he can make that change, he is absolutely useful in CF. Good OPS, good speed, good defense, good power, and all of it coming from CF.

Pretty good comparison overall....still, though, Brett coming anywhere near a .900 OPS is quite a stretch.

TY, have you heard any serious rumblings about Shark being moved? Might just be a tremor, but I've felt some movement (well, my guy has, but you know what I mean). Just not sure how much of it is...

Not sure why either...Headley is basically a PERFECT fit for this team. Entering prime, very solid numbers (in SD, mind you), good glove, money available and most of all, is a win now-win later fit.

I sure hope you're right, but I don't see it and I don't think anyone else does either.
