Time for him to hang up the shoes.
Deng's injury was simply misfortune (or Prokorohov slipping something into his food). Hinrich's durability is more of a concern IMO. If I'm Garpax, I would buyout Rip (obviously) and try to retain...
Very sad. RIP
Bulls fans/the media will forget about this saga shortly after his return, especially if he returns to his MVP form.

I think he's definitely attainable for the right price. Will it cost a lot? Yes, but the guy is 23 and one of the top players in the majors.
If I'm Theo, I try to swing a deal for Price or Stanton. If we're to compete in 2014, or even 2015 for that matter, we need another star on this team. Package would likely include Baez and another 2...
I sure hope so
Surprised Soriano hasn't drawn more interest. 2 years/10 million for those numbers is an absolute steal...
With McCarthy to AZ, I would like to see us pursue a trade for Skaggs or Bauer.
Wouldn't trade Castro for him.
As an avid Cubs fan/current Vandy student, I'm not sure how I should feel about this...
I've had Lou Malnati's, Gino's, Giordano's and a few local, lesser-known places. Lou Malnati's is indisputably the best.
I'm anxious to see if he can make adjustments to his swing and come into next season with a better approach at the plate. If he can give us .250/.330ish with plus defense and base running, I don't...
I think Justin Upton makes sense for just about any team lol...there's no guessing who claimed him, really. He would fit a contender or a team in rebuild mode given his age.
Rizzo batted .141 in 49 games for San Diego last season. It just goes to show that some guys need more time to adjust at the major league level.
Do you guys think this is another case of Vitters struggling to adjust at a new level? Hopefully that's the case because I think he has promise.
Dempster served up a granny to Nick Swisher, has given up 5 ER through 3 innings pitched. He has lost so much money by going to the AL.
I think he's doing a solid job but I also think a bulk of his lineup decisions have been impacted by the guys upstairs (for those critiquing him in that area).
He isn't ready. It almost seems as if the FO didn't want to promote Vitters before Jackson, so they promoted them simultaneously. Anyhow, Jackson needs to work extra hard this season and watch tape...
Also, I'm aware that the FO has more baseball knowledge than me. But let's not forget that Theo grossly overpaid for Crawford and Lackey. I know, I know, they looked like decent signings initially....
This Vitters situation makes no sense to me. He earned a spot on the ML roster, imo. Brett Jackson did not. Yet, Jackson gets an everyday spot and Vitters is forced into a platoon w/ Valbuena. This...
Vitters hit .331 vs lefties and .290 vs righties. Obviously he fared better against lefties, but is the margin really high enough to warrant situational play from him? Plug him in at 3B and let him...
Hopefully Vitters will get a PH opportunity and a start tomorrow. Trotting out Valbuena every day has no benefit for this organization.
Vitters 3-run HR in the bottom of the 8th! Clutch! Iowa leads 4-1 now...
Vitters 1/4 on the day
