Both of these guys are seriously tearing it up and on pace for MVP. It seems like a coin flip right now, but who will finish with the better year?
Now that A-Rod is on the verge of 600 homers and another solid season, where does his ability fit in amongst the all timers?
Who would you take?

I was wondering if anyone knows of some formula or projection that could show the numbers Rivera could have in his career if he were a starter.
Who do you prefer?
It was nice to see D-Lee do what he is supposed to, which is swing the bat. Randy Wells was also a nice addition, but after watching much of the offense under perform, I'm going with Lee.
Wow, you really gave a full analysis for these two HOFers. I suppose after careful consideration, I will take Kaline.
Any thoughts on who was better?
These greats had such similar careers, but let's see if one stands out more than the other. Who was better?
I completely agree that he is 1 dimensional. I also agree that the all timers do it all and Ichiro is at least not 1 of the 20 greats. But his consistent avg. and decent speed into his mid 30s make...
Now that Ichiro has reached 9 consecutive 200 hit seasons, where does his ability fit in amongst the all timers?
Your completely right to say that the HR title doesn't make you better because it does NOT. Being an above average well rounded player is far more important than some long balls. Aaron and Musial...
I'd take Stan on this one. Aaron obviously had more home runs, but outside of those and some stolen bases, Musial clearly seems to have an edge on the numbers.
Both should have had several more years of stats but unfortunately they didn't. Who do you think was better?
