Too risky. His elbow is gonna reinjure at some point. Whether it's tomorrow, mid season, or next year. He's gonna need TJ at some point in the near future. And for that reason, you should avoid him.

That's simple. Murphy doesn't get moved if this...

This makes sense in theory but what if the Mets are 10 games over .500 and right in the WC or division hunt at the deadline?

You don't often see teams move an established bat like Murphy...
  3. Sticky: Spring Training 2015-"I fully expect us to be in the playoffs"-David Wright

I just don't understand why Colon is the front runner to start Opening Day. Why pitch your 5th best starter against the Nats? Tc and co. are idiots if Colon even gets a start in D.C

    No brainer...

I said get all that crap out the way now. Doesn't exactly sound like doomsday to me.

    Fantasy Baseball Question:

Changing my mind about Wilmer Flores

Love how everyone hates on Murph for his defense, yet his replacement, which everyone can't wait to take over, is just as bad. In Herrera's sample size last year he looked just as bad, if not worse...

Grandersons 17 mil should not stop SA from acquiring an OF next offseason. There are possibly many FA options, that added with the current core, would make the Mets a contender for the foreseeable...

Tc that loser. fire him already. his infatuation with that back up talent Tejada. Just play Flores, Tejada has stunk for 3 years

    Profar out for season

I definitely was all about flipping Thor for Profar. But that was assuming that Profars shoulder was healthy.

Obviously none of us on here have access to the medical records, or have doctors...

I won't complain if the Mets are eliminated...

So if the Mets make the playoffs this year, but don't get past the WC game or go deep into the playoffs, you won't complain that they didn't spend enough to get over the top? I'm going to hold you...

I just don't even think the Padres are that good. They have no Catcher, 1B, SS, or 3B. And their 2B Gyorko stunk last year. Myers is not some all star commodity either. Give me Lagares as my CF over...

I still don't get how Granderson was a bad move. & Cuddyer was 2/21 and a first round pick that may never even end up playing in the MLB.

I guess you rather have an OF of Kirk-Lagares-MdD

    I'll...

I seriously doubt Myers was traded for a lack of talent either. The 4th overall pick does not lack talent. You can surmise why D'arnaud was traded, but you don't know, I bet that was part of it, was...

Changing my mind about Wilmer Flores

I am also okay with Flores as the SS to start the year. I think he can hit easily hit 15-20 HR, and maybe he can prove to be an average defender at the position. If he can do that, he's our SS. Plus...

This is where you have to say WHO?

Until Tulo gets traded for a bag of balls, what is the big move that we missed?

Also, we have plenty of ammo in the minors. Aren't we poised to acquire a big...
  21. Harvey likely to miss first six games, debut at home on April 13

If he starts the home opener, and then he pithes every fifth day, as he should so they don't mess with his routine, then he will be pitching the first game against the Yanks in April for the Bronx...

I'm not worried about Duda regressing. Can't hit...

I thought they were quite low on deGrom. Actually they were very low on him. Projecting a 3.50 ERA with only 140 innings would be a disappointment. He has no innings limit and should be able to go at...
  23. The only risk with the team that signs Moncada is...

That's assuming he makes it up by age 20. Regardless, the Yanks will have 6 years of control, 3 pre arb (unless he becomes a "super two"). Right now wins are valued at $7m, with some variability...

Mets Offseason Thread - Three's Company, Too!

With Moncada officially a FA, here's my final thoughts on him regarding the Mets lack of interest in spending on him:

It most likely will cost at least 30 million to sign him. With the 100% tax,...

I agree with you on d'Arnaud and Granderson. ...

If Wright bounces back, he'll definitely have an OBP over .340, but his power could be declining and he has had issues staying on the field lately. 20 isn't unreasonable though given his track record...
