I believe 56
Heyman says its a 1 year deal.
I don't think he said it would be a good surprise.
This organization moves propects at a slow pace so I doubt there will be anyone rushed up.
I will believe the Mets will spend money again when they actually spend some.
I believe June is the super 2 mark, not the year of free agency. I believe that date is something like April 28th, its much earlier on.
They aren't going to make a trade, I doubt this team changes much other than a starting pitcher.
I am fine with another evaluation year. It will ensure a protected pick, and this team will finally be rid of all the bad contracts in the next off season. SA is not going to trade young pitching...
He is comparable to Cespedes but younger by two years.
Daniel Alvarez is worth the risk/investment. I would put my money there.
Relievers seem to get a ton of interest at deadline. I think we hold him until then and check the offers, unless we get blown away now.
I think Signing Hairston, and Trading for a young outfielder is the only route we will see. I think Sandy wants flexibility going into 2014 season.
Swisher costs a draft pick, there is no way they will go near him or Bourn.
Harvey is no longer a prospect to many ML innings. Top 3 TDA, Wheeler, Snyder.
Only one who could top Blue Jays would be Rangers.
Doubt Davis is moved.
Arizona isn't trading Upton. Also our pitching would be miserable.
Mets may move Davis and use Flores/Duda at first. However Toronto would have to give u some top pitching prospects for that to go down.
I think our best bet is 2nd base for flores, he has good hands. His range will be limited but if he has pop we will attempt it. Otherwise you let him inflate his numbers at 3rd in Vegas then move...
he is far to slow for any OF spot, slower than Duda
Peter Bourjos is a 4th outfielder, granted he would be our best outfielder but you don't move Dickey for him.
Dickey will cost more than Bourjos for sure.
This is the same guy who said we have no outfield. So I guess we will have no outfield in 2013 either.
Replace Wheeler with Santana because Wheeler will be in AAA, once Santana runs out of gas, Wheeler will replace him. If Santana is pitching real well maybe you can call up Wheeler and deal Santana...
Wins are an awful state to judge a pitcher by, especially one who plays for a team with one of the worst offenses in the league.
