Classic thread :)
In terms of overall dominance (regular + post season)...MadBum is no RJ (yet).
RJ was an absolute freak of nature.
And I say this as a Giants fan.
However, not a knock against Bum.
"When you're tired, what suffers is either your velocity or your location"
Fascinating insight, Harold
If he's on, let him go through the 9th inning. Seriously. I'd rather have a zoned in Mad Bum than any of our relievers
Man, looks like Kershaw got unlucky again.
(Became first Dodgers pitcher in history to lose 4 straight post season starts)
I liked the '99 Giants
1) Marvin Benard (.290/16HR/64 RBI)
2) Rich Aurilia (.281/22/80)
3) Jeff Kent (.290/23/101)
4) Barry Bonds (.262/34/83)
5) Ellis Burks (.282/31/96)
6) JT Snow...
"Curry grew too fast" in complete BS.
18/5/6 player his rookie year, with a 22/6/8 post-All Star split. He's been balling since day 1, and now that the Warriors are a good team, he's getting...
From someone who thought T-Rich was an absolute savage (me)...I think the problem is...he's just not that good.
21 NFL games. Only 3 where he had over 5 YPC. Only 3 where he eclipsed 100 yards.
Including 3 years at Davidson and 4 with the Warriors, Curry's 3PT %s:
He's been taking and making these shots his whole life, people are just now starting to notice.
To answer the original question "explain to me like I am 12 years old":
Kyrie Irving is a very rare talent. There is a reason he played only 11 college games but was the consensus #1 overall...
Is 4 years in the league not a large enough sample set?
Year 1 = 18PPG, 44% 3PT
Year 2 = 19PPG, 44% 3PT
Year 3 *Injured, played only 28 games* = 15PPG, 45% 3PT
Year 4 = 23 PPG, 45% 3PT...
Just for some perspective: Curry is a 44.6% career 3PT shooter...Ray Allen only reached 44.6% one time in his 18 year career. He's definitely the greatest shooter of all time.
Wrong - we're fighting for the 6th seed right now with Houston. As a result of today's game, if GSW wins the last game of the year OR if HOU loses their last, we skip the Spurs and get to play...
The odds of a guy who had a .326/30/89/49 SB season at 20 years old becoming anything less than a perennial all-star are far less than the odds for.
If anyone deserves it, it's Posey

.202 w/ 3 HRs, 51 RBI, 30 SB with no baseball training is very impressive...he could've been good
1. AJ Jenkins: D
Jenkins was buried behind a deep WR group all year, but w/ Manningham and KW out he was finally activated last game. The 2 snaps I saw him play: 1 dropped pass, and 1...

Dude has 19 1/2 sacks through 13 games, I'd say he's already pretty special
Andy Reid just pulled a Harbaugh
His stats through 11 are:
2497 yards, 15 tds, 4 ints, 104.6 QB rating
100 rushers, 642 yards, 6 TD's
dude is a going to be great for years. He's not Cam Newton.
