Lindor ahead of Bryant? Wtf?
I'd rather see Cease on the Cubs after my 'Dores won the national championship today. Now it's time for the Cubs to win it!
Bryant is clearly the better prospect, but I think Schwarber deserves more credit than you're giving him. He batted .600 in 5 games at Boise...I don't care if the competition is similar to what he...
Any chance Schwarber skips KC and heads to Daytona?
I was on a Vandy message board and many of our fans expect Cease to sign with the Cubs. One guy noted that he heard Cease's number wasn't that high, implying that the money remaining from the...
Just noticed that Pedro Alvarez has a 22% K rate this year. He was at 30%+ the past few years. 27 y/o now so it shows that adjustments can always be made.
Bryant's k rate is below 26% now if I'm not mistaken. Slowly coming down. I'm not too worried about it.
We should've drafted Scott Blewett
Vandy's recruiting class is taking a major hit. Touki was never expected to make it to campus. Held out hope for the rest but it appears Sheffield, Reed, and Diaz are gone + possibly Cease as well....
I like the Schwarber pick. Lefty bat with pop, doesn't strike out, gets on base. He'll probably become a liability on defense but his bat should make up for it. In the off chance that Almora,...
Can someone remind me why we're not interested in Alex Jackson?
Schwarber is a fatass. If Aiken and Rodon are off the board, I hope we take Nola, Beede, or Pentecost (assuming Jackson isn't in consideration).
Would Beede sign underslot?
I'm a major homer but 2 guys I'd love to have next year are Carson Fulmer and Walker Buehler.
He should be in AAA. AA just isn't challenging him. BTW, even if he were to not K for his next 30 ABs, his K rate would still be 30%+.
We're 14th in run differential, so I don't think our team is as bad as our record indicates. You add 2-3 impact bats to this lineup and a good amount of those 1-run games probably turn into wins....
If Baez and Alcantara are ready for the majors by August, anyone else think it would make sense to extend Shark? With Bryant likely to start 2015 in the majors, we can have a pretty good team.
If we're reaching for a HS player, that prospect won't see the majors for several years anyway. I'm not insinuating that he wouldn't help us rebuild the team, but if we're expecting to compete in...
Anyone think we might just opt to not sign our draft pick this year? If next year's class is deeper, I would be okay with that. Really don't want to reach at #4...
Unfortunate that the law of averages prevented Shark from winning today. Hopefully his next start will come at a more favorable time.
Where does Ivan Pineyro project? #3, #5? Seems to have some potential, although he struggles mightily on the road.
Should I even bother watching the game today? According to the law of averages, we won't score any runs today since we scored 6 yesterday.
Thought this was common knowledge but I guess it bears repeating: Bryant will not play 3B at the major league level. If Olt doesn't work out at 3B, it's more likely that we'll see Baez or Alcantara...
Anyone think we'll see Alcantara in the majors relatively soon?
