you really don't like this guy....you HAVE to admit that he was our best CB last year and has pretty much gotten better each year in the league...
I take Ty 100 times out of 100....all pro LT types don't grow on trees and they protect your most valuable asset on the field...watt is great but imagine the OL without Ty
I am looking for the OL to break out...I think they will up to the hype and play well...I do expect Martin to go through the typical growing pains early, but I think Fred establishes himself as a...
TO answer the original question, if there is a true stud QB AND a true stud DE at our pick in the fist, I take the DE...that is assuming that Tony is going to be there next year...I would possibly...
Thanx. I have been really busy with "life"...nothing serious, just really busy with work and home...I will be around more during the season.
And I agree with what you say in regards to the...
well, hopefully, Linehan and Marinelli can do a lot of his thinking for him ;)
@ Blacknell, I appreciate trying to keep it real, but in my world, if they stay healthy (no more serious injuries like DLaw), then the Offense will score and hopefully win the TOP battle each...
If the DL rotation can be solid, including Mincey, and put pressure on the QB without assistance from blitz packages, then this defense can move into the 16-24 range (IMO)...but, I will wait to see...
technically, it is still the off season (in my book) until September...but, like cowboysride said, get er done...
trade, someone else's issue
(just kidding, just kidding.....I jest)
The OLine must stay healthy. If so, they can have the biggest impact on the team...keep tony upright, ball control, score some points, keep the depleted and poor defense off of the field as much as...
RAJ must go down, and he must go down hard
Looks like a torn ACL, out for the year (per ed werder)
Holloman looked good in the middle against the eagles, and we do have a 4th round pick that plays the position...you could see...
let's see how many of the 5 - 2nd rounders are dealt...should make for an interesting night
Getting both would be something, I expect both to go by the time we pick
merged threads (you guys wanted a Draft thread, so I put the other one in here)
and, @win red sox, how about two OGs drafted that early last draft?
So what did we see on Day 1? How about the following:
* Players taken by position:
OFFENSE (14): OG=1, OT=4, QB=3, TE=1, WR=5
DEFENSE(18): CB=5, DE=3, DT=2, FS=2, ILB=1, OLB=3, SS=2
I love the Martin pick, love it.
(Saved 7th round picks - we have a bunch)
Saved 4th - 6th picks
(Saved 3rd round pick)
(Saved 2nd Round pick)
ZACH MARTIN, OG, NOTRE DAME
(Breakdown coming 5/9)
