There are two types of exciting teams:
1. A competitive team that is ready and able to win now.
2. An up-and-coming team that gives hope for the future.
We have neither of those qualities. I...
That's crazy. I have a hard time believing Harris/McBuckets/Stauskas are in the same tier as Noel, but no big deal. This why I can't be upset with any of the top 3 prospects - they all look awesome...
I do believe the Sixers like Wiggins, but I do not believe anything was 'leaked' about acquiring him at all cost. That goes against everything Hinkie stands for.
I was pretty bummed we didn't draft Michael Gettys with the 47th pick. I can't be mad about Nola (since everyone has been reporting for weeks we'd take him), but I really wanted Gettys at 47. I would...
I think you're selling Wiggin short. My board is all over the place. Earlier I had Wiggins as my solid #1, but now I would be happy with any of the top 3.
If we get Embiid I hope we add a shooter...
I'm shocked that Wilt is left off any team.
If the question is, "What value do you hope to get out of a 2nd overall pick" then I agree with you, but if the question is, "Would I rather be the Sixers or Jazz with regard to how they handled...
Agreed. I'd rather have lost Turner for nothing than have to pay Favors his current contract. Favors could end up being worth it, but right now he's definitely not.
I can actually kinda see this scenario play out. I'm absolutely in camp Wiggins, but I'm intrigued by the potential interchangeability of Parker/Gordon at the SF/PF spots.
I wanted top 3, and I'm...
Wow, that's crazy. The last 7 years the #2 seeded team in the lottery has gotten:
3rd pick: 1
4th pick: 4
5th pick: 2
A rational person would think that odds will swing back in the favor of...
What makes you say that?
Eagles cut Arrelious Benn. Not huge news, but I was mildly surprised.
So, would I trade Noel for (a healthy) Embiid? Damn. Maybe. Probably. Damn. I wouldn't 100% trade him for anyone outside of Wiggins or Parker, and I'd have to think about Embiid or maybe Exum. Damn.
Those unis were terrible.
Kind of depends. Is Embiid healthy? If Wiggins, Parker, Exum, and (a healthy) Embiid are off the board then I say no. I wouldn't trade Noel for Vonleh, Smart, or Randle.
Apparently Vonleh has measured VERY well, including the biggest hands at the combine (which is important - ask Kwame). He's still only 18 years old. I have a feeling that one of Vonleh, Randle, or...
I just peed a little.
It seems like Exum has hijacked SI/ESPN writers and they are all expecting us to get him (might be because of the Brett Brown connection). Seriously, where did all this trade MCW / draft Exum stuff...
Great points, but I think he WILL be able to drop and cover. He probably won't great at it, but I think passable, especially when you consider that he'll spend most of his time rushing the QB.
Again, disagree. Curry isn't nearly the athlete that Ealy is. Ealy's size and athleticism would let us move him all around the defense, but I think he'd primarily be a rush OLB.
Curry ran a 4.98...
Disagree. Did you see his measureables? He had a great cone drill at 6.83 seconds, and ran a 40 in 4.57 seconds during MU's pro day. You can coach up that kind of athleticism/size to play OLB.
I'm sold. Give me Kony Ealy at 22.
I love MKG (probably because we're both from Somerdale), but he has great leadership skills, is a hard worker, and plays defense. His ceiling is certainly limited, but I don't think he's reached it.
