What do you think your best steal was in the draft?
I say mine was Rich Harden in the 9th round with the 97th pick
Or
Freddy Garcia in the 20th round with the 240th pick.
If Harden actually plays a full season he'll put up the numbers. Everybody knows he's great, it's just the question if he could stay healthy.
If Freddy Garcia gets the NL boost that pitchers get when leaving the AL he could be a good pick.
Lowry, Chris B Young, and Oliver Perez.
Lowry was injured or something last year, but his previous #'s indicate he has a solid BAA, WHIP, and good strikeout totals. Most pesimistic projects have Young at 20/20, and optimistically have him at 25/25 with a good average. Perez has his velocity back up, and he's striking guys out again. He's got great control, and with that Mets lineup should have a pretty good season.
Harden was definetly good, I think you got him one round before I wanted him :(.
Oliver Perez completely lost it for the last 2 seasons. If he can do what he did in 2004 or come close to it, that would be a great pick.Quote:

Derek Lee in the 3rd round was a steal for me....Jeremy Sowers in the 17th round, Jonathan Papelbon in the 8th

Kazmir in the 12th round is definitely a steal, but I don't know about Glavine in the second last round. He's available off the waiver wire in the leagues I've drafted in so far.Quote:

Not that i would take advise from Sportsnet, but they had a short piece on sleepers and chose Josh Barfield, Mike Piazza, Freddy Garcia and Mark Teahen (they predicted a 30/100/20 season, yikes)
