Well for sure, but I kind of don't feel like he'll get the 13-14 mil we would have given him. And if he gets that, good for him. Not much for a market for these guys right now

it wasnt about the anual salary bu the years, he might get the security of a 4 year deal
I see your point, but I doubt anyone goes any longer than 3 years for Soriano. The guy is what, 34 already?
Just looked it up, he just turned 33
Someone is going to grab him around 10 million a year. I see him going to one of the angels, tigers or rangers.
Travis Hafner at DH? Problem is he doesnt play a position and is always hurt.
^ I think that makes it an automatic no on Haf.
Sourpuss will not get paid what he thinks. Just like Swisher wanting 7/140.
Overrated, older and no interest in them from anyone good.
The Tigers will sign Soriano, IMO. They are a team that is heavily invested in winning now and I don't see them relying on a rookie closer (Bruce Rondon) in a potential championship run.
Very glad Soriano opted out, saved us a good amount of cash.
I am in agreement with much of what you said but I especially agree with you in regard to Nunez. I hope we give him an opportunity this season.
And I gotta give you props for being the first poster I've ever seen here in PSD who was actually able to use the word 'askew' in a post.
People who crap on Swisher forgot about him playing 1st base when Teix was down and out in Sept. These were must win games and he did splendid at 1st.
Any word if Cashman's righthanded power bat is Soriano?
Who do they trade with Theo paying 75%?
