at 85 years old he is still the best in the business,
I think he needs more emotion when the moment calls for it, but I do enjoy listening to him when I'm able to.
Like anyone, he had a prime as well. He can't project his voice as much as he used to. Listen to all his amazing calls from the countless World Series and All Star Games. All the no hitters, perfect games, historic moments, etc. He was not only energetic, but he has the greatest poetic diction as he describes the game. To the point where you cannot fathom how someone can be that good.
Although he is still amazing, you cannot judge him at 85. Listen to his prime. He's still incredible, but like anyone he had a prime as well.
One of the best to ever broadcast, and is still doing it.
Happy birthday to one of the most legendary baseball men of all time.

The GOAT.

Amazing broadcaster, absolutely love listening to him. Happy birthday, Vin
Saturday is Fly's birthday.
Nah, but happy birthday to one of the GOAT's.
Oh, and happy birthday to Vinny too.
The best broadcaster for any sport that I've ever heard. Happy birthday.
Happy birthday to the GOAT broadcaster, Vin's the man.
I wonder if ciaban created this thread to see if I would move it to the Dodgers forum and nail me because I didn't move the Musial thread :laugh2:
Scully, like Musial, deserves his own thread.
I can't believe Scully is still going. Every time I catch a Dodgers game on MLB.tv, I almost always choose the Dodgers broadcast so I can hear, the one-man-show Scully broadcast it.
And he is 85. 10 years past the average Americans life-span. Good for him and everything he has done and brought to Major League Baseball.
